Climate Change as Sites of Politics
This talk primarily maps different domains of climate politics. Played out explicitly and implicitly, at different dimensions and scales, the scientific and political manifestations of climate change regime is often protean-like, that change shapes and forms often. In the process, it leads to a wide variety of objects and practices like carbon 'credits', carbon 'exchanges' and renewed discussions about nuclear energy.

Gudrun Pollack & Julia Jahnke
Gudrun Pollack holds a Bsc. in ERM. She is now finishing her Msc. in human and social ecology at the Alpen Adria University of Klagenfurt.
Julia Jahnke, gardener and garden activist holds a Bsc. in horticultural sciences and Msc. in sustainable land use. She is currently taking part in a climate research project in Berlin and Brandenburg (INKA BB).
Political garden and bike projects - environmental management off track?
The political garden and bike projects touch many aspects of the eco-social net. With two speeches about political gardening and the Vienna Bikekitchen, Gurun and Julia will explain the connections between the ecological, social and political dimensions involved in such projects. Lea Herberg & Susann Eisert
Lea Herberg works on sustainable agriculture at the German Development Corporation (GTZ). She holds a Bsc. in ERM from BTU Cottbus and a Msc. in international rural development (New Zealand).
Susann Eisert holds a Bsc. in ERM from the BTU Cottbus, and a Msc. in environmental planning and engineering ecology from the TU of Munich. Today she works as an environmental project manager implementing an EMS according to the ISO 14001.
Contemporary Aspects of Agriculture
Lea will introduce adaptation measures to Climate Change in agriculture. Furthermore Sustainable Agriculture and Small-scale Farming will be discussed.
Corporate Environmental Protection
A tool to reduce the environmental footprint of a business and to decrease the pollution and waste a business produces is to use the standard for environmental management system called ISO 14000. Susann will explain how environmental management concepts can be implemented in everyday working practice as well as the increasing importance of energy and resource efficiency in industries (“Green Machines”).

Ingmar Lippert
Ingmar Lippert holds a Bsc. in ERM from the BTU Cottbus, and a Msc. in Environment, Culture and Society from Lancaster University. Currently, he works for the Chair of Sociology of Augsburg University (Germany).
What would be your CO2 Balance?
The CO2- balance is supposed to be a sustainable measure for observing the amount of carbon dioxid (CO2) released by diverse activities. Ingmar will introduce an instance of actual corporate carbon management as a role game. This will give you the chance to dive into the process of competing and calculating the CO2 balance of a corporation.

Ahmed Zahran
Ahmed Zahran holds a Bsc. in economics from the American University in Cairo, and a Msc. in political economy of development from the SOAS London. He worked on cutting carbon emissions under the Kyoto Protocol directives in Shell in Tunis and London (2003 -2007). Since two years he is leading the CDM and Renewables division in TriOcean Energy, MENA region's first vertically integrated private energy company.
Potential of CDM and Renewable Energies in the MENA Region
Clean development mechanisms are a tool of the Kyoto protocol to reduce GHG emissions, enhance technology and wealth transfer and achieve sustainable development. Zahran will talk about this industry’s current status and future prospects in the MENA region, as well as the huge potential in the region to develop renewable energies generation.
